10 Easter Games You’ll Love

Last minute Easter game ideas to add more play to your holiday!

If you know me at all, you’ll know that our family LOVES games. We have a ridiculous amount of games, and we play them just about every day. We have nightly family game time, and our kids take turns picking the game each night. We also LOVE to have themed games for different holidays and seasons!

So if you celebrate Easter, and you are hoping to add some great additions to your game shelf, then this post is for you!

Below are 10 great Easter games for all of you procrastinators out there (like me) who still need to fill those baskets (or plan some family fun)!

1. Mad Libs Easter Eggstravaganza – Ages 8+

Everyone loves Mad Libs! Hilarious fun, and themed for the season. Easy to stick in a basket to add some height. Bonus: helps kids practice the parts of speech!

2. Hoppy Floppy’s Happy Hunt – Ages 3+

If you are familiar with the gameschooling world at all, you’ve probably heard of Sneaky Snacky Squirrel by the same company. It’s a HUGE hit with the preschool crowd, and it’s fun for older kids (and parents), too! Hoppy Floppy’s Happy Hunt is similar, but with a fun bunny theme that’s perfect for Easter and springtime!

3. Count Your Chickens – Ages 3+

If a cooperative game is more your preschooler’s style, then Peaceable Kingdom games are where it’s at! Count Your Chickens is a great introduction to the world of cooperative gaming, and has a super cute baby chick theme that your littles will love at Easter time. I’ll be really sad when my youngest moves beyond the Peaceable Kingdom cooperative games. They have brought such joy to my kiddos!

4. SmartGames Jump In’ – Ages 7+

Even though the punctuation of this game’s title confuses me (I’m a grammar & punctuation nerd), we absolutely LOVE SmartGames solo player logic puzzles! You really can’t go wrong with any of them! Jump In’ has a fun bunny theme, where the goal is to get the cute little bunnies to safety. And since your kiddos will likely be thinking about bunnies on Easter, it’s a great fit! Added bonus: SmartGames travel well! This is great to bring on a longer car ride or to a gathering where your kiddo might need a solo activity to help pass the time.

5. Smart Eggs Labyrinth Puzzle – Ages 6+

We don’t have one of these yet, but they look SUPER COOL and I know my logic-puzzle-addicted 7 year old would love it! Plus, it’s a Smart Egg, like an Easter egg! So it totally works for Easter, right? 😉

6. Spot It! – Ages 4+

This may look like a preschooler game, but let me tell you, Spot It! is great fun for ALL ages! We love having several different themed decks of Spot It! on our game shelf for whenever we need a quick, fun game! Our kids regularly beat us because, well, apparently getting older means being slower at finding matches! (At least in this house!) It’s small enough to stick in an Easter Basket, and the original game tin is a lovely pastel purple and yellow color combo, perfect for the season!

7. Bloom – Ages 8+

This is the new game that I’m most excited about for our Easter family time! We all love to play Quixx by Gamewright, and Bloom has a similar roll & write concept, but with beautiful flowers instead of numbers! It’s a lovely spring theme, small enough to stuff in an Easter basket for a pop of color and fun!

8. Bunny Kingdom – Ages 14+

These next few games fit the Easter theme a bit more loosely, but they would be AWESOME additions to your table this holiday! Bunny Kingdom has been on my list FOREVER, and I cannot wait to grab it! Iello makes really fun strategy games, and the theme of this one looks great! Check out the super cute bunny figurines!

9. Bird Bingo – Ages 6+

When I think of Easter and spring, I can’t help but think of birds! Bird Bingo is not your average bingo game! The artwork is stunning, and it’s so fun to learn about all the interesting birds and their names! It also comes with a large board to keep track of all the birds that have been called. This is one of our favorite easy family games. And as a bonus, most people already know how to play bingo, so it’s great for family gatherings, too!

10. Wingspan – Ages 14+

Since we’re on the topic of birds, I couldn’t leave out Wingspan! Wingspan is one of the most beautiful games I’ve ever had the luxury of playing. It can be a little intimidating at first to learn, but once you understand the general flow of the game, it’s truly not very complicated. It is, however, strategic and FUN! Oh, and did I mention it’s beautiful? If you are able to add a larger game to your collection this Easter, I highly recommend tracking down a copy of Wingspan!

Well, there you have it. My sincere recommendations for adding some tabletop fun to your Easter weekend!

Does your family enjoy playing games on holidays? Please let me know other holidays for which you’d like to see game suggestions! Especially if our family doesn’t celebrate the holiday, I would love to research and learn so I can suggest some great games by awesome game companies!
